How to Register for IELTS in Pakistan — Step by Step
You can register through British Council Pakistan, IDP Pakistan, or the Australian Education Office (AEO). Here is the process:
Academic, General Training, UKVI, or Life Skills. Check with your university or visa authority before booking — the wrong test type means a wasted fee and possible delay.
Visit the official British Council Pakistan or IDP Pakistan website. Popular dates in Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi fill up quickly — book 6–8 weeks ahead.
Register on the portal with a valid email address and Pakistani phone number.
You need a valid Pakistani Passport or CNIC. Your name on the booking must match your ID exactly — any mismatch can get you rejected on test day.
Pay within 3 days of registration and at least 3 days before your test date. See all accepted payment methods in the next section.
Online payments confirmed same working day; offline payments confirmed the next working day. British Council working hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm.
